Weekly Menus: 7 Summer French Menu Examples
In planning for those menus, the key is to try to stay with the season and also balance lighter meals with heavier ones to make sure that on average, we don’t overeat. The same principal applies when choosing a main course and a dessert on any given day. Except for Sundays, if you have a heavier starter (entrée), it is better to opt for a nutritious lighter dessert (fruit, yogurt). And the reverse is true. Look at Tuesday on the French menu examples below, you will notice that we offer a healthy fish and vegetable dish but we get to eat a crème brûlée for dessert (small portion of course but what a treat!). Likewise, on Sundays, which is always an improved meal in France, we often overindulged a little bit so we should try to make it up on the following day. On Mondays, it’s often a good idea to offer lighter dishes such as the one proposed below to offset any weekend excesses.
So here are 7 summer French Menu examples for your consideration.
Feel free to mix and match according to your family preferences.
