Tips: How Do I Freshen Up a Lettuce?

fresh lettuce

Today’s, let’s see how we can give a facelift to the lettuce we’ve neglected at the bottom of the fridge. If your lettuce has leaves that look slightly tired, you may be able to save it with a bit of water and by following the steps below. Check out our Art of the Home tip and give new life to your lettuce!

Art of the Home Tip — when your lettuce needs to be freshened up, simply separate the leaves, cut the stems, and let them soak in warm water (not hot) for about 5-10 minutes. The leaves should feel firmer and much more enjoyable to eat. After you washed and dried your lettuce leaves, put them back in the fridge for a short time before preparing to serve with your favorite dressing (an Art of Home favorite is Newman’s Own Family Italian Recipe) and voilà!
