A Summer Day on the Champs-Élysées
Readers’ Letters – Courrier des Lectrices
Yesterday, Martha asked:
“My husband and I are planning a Paris/London trip…when would be the best time to visit Paris?”
Art of the Home says:
Love Paris every seasons but if we had to pick one, we would say summer to increase the odds of having good weather and less rain but even that’s no guarantee! We actually were in Paris this summer and one day got drenched on the Champs-Élysées. It was pretty warm though but umbrellas were definitely a plus that day.

Now of course, it is more crowded in the Summer however so that may be a factor to consider as well. Late Spring is another top choice and you’ll need to bring your umbrellas anyway since you’re stopping in London (where it rains a lot!) so even if it rains, it may be OK. How exciting to go to Paris with your husband – enjoy every minute of it! So happy for you Martha!
Here are a few articles we wrote while in France over the summer. It may be of interest as you are planning your visit.
