Today, we are offering a quick beauty tip to brighten up your eyes after a short night of sleep or a long week. This tip also works well if you have smaller eyes and are trying to make them look bigger. Check out our Art of the Home tips below and look like you got a few extra hours of sleep!
Art of the Home Tips:
- Use a thickening mascara on your top eyelashes only. If you are using an eyelash curler, use it beforehand.
- Skip the mascara at the bottom: putting mascara on your lower lashes will only emphasize dark circles under your eyes. It also tends to drag your eyes down so it’s better to skip it, especially when we look tired.
- Mascara color: brown mascara is more subtle so if this is your color of choice, prefer black mascara when your tired. Black mascara is bolder and provides greater contrast with the white of the eye, giving the effect of opening up your eyes.
- Of course nothing beats a good night sleep – 7 to 9 hours at night is ideal. And if you need help to get a good night sleep, check the Art of the Home article on “How to Use Lavender Oil to Help You Sleep Better“.
