The holiday season is fast approaching so we are starting a new series called “Deal du Jour” (Deal of the Day) to help us get ready early and enjoy a more relaxing end of the year holiday season. Not sure if it will be everyday really — most likely not — but as we find deals that we think you may be interested in, we’ll pass these along. If you’re not interested, simply skip the article, we’ll still be sending recipes, tips, video du Jour, etc. but we love deals so we want to share the joy. The great thing about deals in the US is that it is year round as opposed to France where “les soldes” (the sales) are only during two periods of about 1 month during the year. For example for 2012, the “soldes d’hiver” (winter sales) will start on January 12, 2012 at 8 AM and will end on February 14th, 2012 at midnight. After that, you get the “soldes d’été” (summer sales) which in 2012 will start on June 27th, 2012 at 8 AM and end on July 31, 2012 at midnight. So for us in the US, each time we see a discount outside the “soldes” period, we get very happy and love these deals even a better!
